EastEnders star Nicola Stapleton is bidding farewell to Albert Square for a second time.
Her character Mandy Salter is set to leave Ian Beale on their wedding day this summer, The Sun reports, destroying Ian's fifth marriage before it has even begun.
Nicola told the newspaper: "I've had a great time at EastEnders, working with friends old and new.
"Who knows whether Mandy will return? Let's hope it doesn't take another 17 years!"
The actress played wild child Mandy for two years until she left Albert Square in 1994.
She returned last year when Ian, played by Adam Woodyatt, rescued her from an abusive boss at a lap dancing club.
The pair have had a rocky romance after she cheated on him with Ricky Butcher, and Ian's teenage daughter Lucy has tried everything to split them up.
Mandy will remain on screens until the summer as she prepares for her wedding to Ian, but viewers will be left wondering if they will actually tie the knot before she vanishes.
