Review: Kylie Hams It Up On Anti Tour For London Fans At Hammersmith, Song Sheet And All (PHOTOS)

REVIEW: Kylie Hams It Up For Hammersmith

Kylie Minogue brought her stripped-bare Anti Tour to London last night, performing a catalogue of B-sides, demos and other relative unknowns to her hardcore fans at Hammersmith.

Some of the songs were obscure even to the pop princess herself, who had to keep a lyric sheet to hand, and even used it as a prop during Give Me Just A Little More Time.

Perhaps she was a little preoccupied, with the announcement earlier in the evening that her sister Dannii had split from her longtime partner Kris Smith.

And the sight in the 5000-strong crowd of Pete Waterman, the man who originally brought her to sing in the UK, and will no doubt be intent on her topping the bill at his PWL reunion concert at Hyde Park in July.

Kylie came dressed for the part in an eighties-throwback ensemble, studs and all.

Tears On My Pillow also made an appearance for any Neighbours-era fans in the audience. Read more here

The Evening Standard says:

With the production stretching only to a limited laser show, the focus was on Kylie’s voice, thin when exposed on the acoustic ballad Paper Dolls but given a disco beat to sing over, as on Things Can Only Get Better, it soared.

Interestingly, for a performer as slick as Kylie, the best moments were the least professional... a more intimate side to a global superstar. Read more here
