James McCartney is interested in forming a band

Sir Paul McCartney's musician son said he would be "happy" to form a new band with the sons of the other three Beatles.

James McCartney said the idea had been discussed with Sean Lennon, Dhani Harrison and Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey, but it was more likely another of Starr's sons, Jason, would be involved.

He told the BBC: "I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it."

Asked if he thought it would ever happen, he said: "Yeah, hopefully, naturally. I don't know, you'd have to wait and see. The will of God, nature's support, I guess. So yeah, maybe."

James has released two digital-only EPs and a two-disc set produced by his famous father and is currently on a small tour of the UK and Ireland.

never be as good as the fathers, seen the first Beatles tour at local flic the Savoy, couldnt here FA because girlies screaming. They later poped across to local dance club Gayways which meant happy then, to press the flesh of fans?

Could be interesting. Minicoopers are you mad? The Beatles weren't crap! You might not be able to appreciate how much their innovations and creativity changed the face of music forever, but who are you to say they're are crap!! The world is a more colourful place because of artists like that! Anyway, would be interesting but wouldn't expect anything amazing.

Probably fed up trying to "do it by himself" with little success and now thinks time to cash in on his name. Just cause you get your parents genes doesn't mean they'll be the talent ones...obviously!

As Zac Starkey is busy drumming for The Who, I doubt he would be interested in joining up with a has bean and two musical unknowns. Best bit of advice, don't let his Dad writew nay of the songs.
