Concert In The Egg

Eggs are the beginning of new life, the not-so-Christian focus of Easter, which comes up this weekend.

More importantly, in chocolate form, they have helped people through many a bad moment.

They are inspiring. Over the years, painters have been inspired by the egg too.

We’ve rounded up the best weird and wonderful egg paintings, in the hope that they will inspire you over the Easter weekend.

From naked girls to an entire concert on an egg, the whole gamut of human emotion is here.

Our other pictures include a girl, perhaps about to start decorating, small cherubs wearing eggshells as hats, and not one but two old women selling eggs. Inspirational stuff.
