27 Hilarious Detention Slips (PHOTOS)

Everybody gets in trouble at school at least once. Sometimes, though, a pupil earns detention for something so bizarre or hilarious that it's worth sharing with the rest of the world. Such as committing "on-going nonsense" or declaring oneself to be Superman.

Yes, those are just two of the reasons given in the 27 detention notes below. Enjoy, rate - and if your detention story is even weirder, do share it with us in the comments...

From what I saw most of the Teachers should be in detention for appalling hand-writing and limited grammatical construction.
If that's the general standard of teaschers no wonder kids misbehave/learn little in class.

I used to send back comments from teachers with their errors corrected.

Dunno what was funnier, the action of the students, or the state of teacher's hand-writing/grammar!

Dear PGBRANDT: LEARN TO READ. The teacher said that a kilometer was longer than a mile. The student disputed this. A kilometer is shorter than a mile. The teacher was wrong and the student was right.

Thank you all. I stand corrected. I am sending myself to my room with no supper! :)

The subtext did point that out, fco1922.

#26. Pay attention in class pgbrandt. Teacher said km was longer than a mile. Kid was right. Truth isn't just the first casualty in war it seems.

#26 - A kilometer is 3,280 feet. A mile is 5,280 feet. The kid was wrong. Then the teacher was wrong for writing that the kid was right. And the fact-checkers for this article (assuming there were any) were wrong. They should all be placed on detention!

Some of these teachers are a bit harsh with how they dole out the detention. When I was in second grade, I got detention all the time. Actually, up until we moved to another state, I was a troublesome kid. I once got detention because I lied to the teacher that I was eating in class, although my mouth was stuffed with jelly beans. Then I didn't show my parents the detention slip, thinking that if I didn't have them sign it, I wouldn't have to go to detention...that was a bad day.
