Dress 'Becomes Transparent When Wearer Is Sexually Aroused' (WATCH)

The Dress That Can Detect When The Wearer Is Aroused

A dress that detects when the wearer is feeling amorous has been designed by an award-winning fashion.

Never mind embarrassing sweat patches or accidentally putting your clothes on back-to-front – this dress can tell whether you’ve got sex on the mind… and it could be coming to a high street near you.

The futuristic ‘Intimacy 2.0’ design is made of hi-tech fabric, leather and opaque e-foils and becomes transparent when it ‘detects’ a quickening heartbeat.

The technical dress, dubbed ‘techno-poetry’ by the designer himself, operates with the help of wireless technology, LEDs and various electronics.

Designer Daan Roosegaarde has won a string of awards for his designs, which all focus around human responses and is currently in talks to produce a ready-to-wear version of the Intimacy dress, which reveals when the wearer feels excited or embarrassed.

Talking about his saucy design, Roosegaarde told the Daily Mail: “Intimacy 2.0 is a fashion project exploring the relation between intimacy and technology.”

Commenting on what she thinks of the dress, fashion assistant Catherine Hudson told HuffPost Lifestyle: "This looks like the ultimate fusion of fashion and art but, as with most things that fall into that category, I’m not sure what practical purpose this dress could serve.

"It wouldn’t be my partner’s cup of tea, so can’t see it ‘enhancing intimacy’ as the artist claims. And as for becoming invisible when embarrassed as well as turned on – I’d quite possibly be naked within seconds!"
