Prince Phiilip
The Tweet Said "Why The F**k Isn't Prince Philip Dead?'

A Labour candidate in the local elections has apologised for sending a tweet about the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.

Janette Williamson, who is standing for Wirral council, in Merseyside, allegedly asked "why the f**k isn't he dead yet?" in a discussion about Prince Philip on the social networking site.

It has also been claimed she described the shadow cabinet as "both unlikeable and quite right-wing" and said party leader Ed Miliband "needs to grow a set of Ed Balls".

The Twitter account and tweets appear to have been deleted but were seen by Wirral's Conservative leader Jeff Green who has complained to Mr Miliband.

In a statement released by Labour, Ms Williamson said: "I would like to make a full and unreserved apology for my comments on Twitter.

"I appreciate the tone and content of the messages was completely inappropriate and would like to say sorry for any offence caused.

"I feel I have let myself and the Labour Party down and promise to learn from my mistake."

Mr Green, who is leader of Wirral Borough Council, said in an email to Mr Miliband: "While the remarks about you, your MPs and the party you lead are of course a matter for you, I believe her comments on HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to be totally unacceptable and incredibly offensive.

"I am therefore asking you, as leader, to disassociate your party from her remarks and for you to consider whether this person is the acceptable face of the Labour Party in Wirral at the elections on May 3."

A Wirral Labour Party spokesman said: "Janette has apologised for her comments.

"Wirral Labour would like to make it clear that in no one way do these remarks represent the views of the party."

The incapability of Wirral Labour Party to field a candidate with a streak of humanity or a brain, speaks volumes,. I think the entire nation is beginning to appreciate that none of the three main political parties, all proven liars over the EU and their intentions, should besent back to the Marxist sewers they slid out of. Vote, for a party that puts Britain its people and fairness, first.

Her problem is using offensive language - just like you.

If you regard straight talking as offensive language - you should try using a dictionary or thesaurus. Being offensive is an action that causes offence, whereas offensive language is the deliberate use of specific words that most people, not a minority for some people thrive on being offended, consider obscene or taboo.
However, in England, freedom of expression and thought is a right protected by law which is why we are a democracy.
Have you ever thought before you posted?

If Prince Phillip was a black footballer, this nasty feminine piece of raw sewage, would be in jail, wouldn't she?

DEGATING: the process of removing the gate from a plastic molded device. This operation may be performed during mechanical deflashing with a trimming punch or by using media de-flashing. Idiot.

I think if you check that out you'll find that the royal family in the year 2002 cost the UK taxpayers £85.2 million pounds. How much does it cost us now?I dread to think.

Miss Williamson should go out and get herself a proper job.
perhaps if she did a bit of scrubbing and mopping she would be too tired to visit the social network sites.
If you cant say something good dont say anything Madam.

Apologising for comments made - whether on a social network site, in conversation or elsewhwere- is not good enough. The comments represent the person's views and the apology looks quite cynical in such circumstances. Ms Williamson is not the first MP to display her ignorance and spitefulness and I doubt she'll be the last in the current set of horrors that we have placed in the HoC.

Ms Williamson is not the first MP

She is standing for a local council.

Ooops - you spotted my deliberate error for today. Whatever she's standing for she has shown she has not the intelligence, manners or common sense to be elected into public office.

Will this be another case of MPs looking after each other
I mean if she is expelled then others may also be placed insimilar situations
Then they would be out of pocket ie Expenses , Second Homes ( mortgae payments paid for by the electorate) Secured Pension

12:45 PM on 04/06/2012
And THIS is the kind of person a party tries to foist on the electorate, is it? SIck and unfit for government! Just like the party she supports.

If this is not a case of a 'hate' crime what is. Oh of course you have to be black to be prosecuted! 60 days in prison appears quite lenient in this case?
