Footballer Mario Balotelli was involved in a car accident on Thursday in which one person went to hospital.

The 21-year-old Italian, who drives a Bentley, was in collision with another vehicle in Medlock Street, near Deansgate in Manchester city centre.

The Manchester City striker is understood to have been unhurt in the incident, but a passenger from one of the cars was taken to hospital as a precaution.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 3.15pm on Thursday 5 April 2012, police were called to Medlock Street, Manchester city centre to reports of a collision between two cars.

"The passenger of one of the cars was taken to hospital for precautionary measures. Inquiries are ongoing."

A really decent report would have included the potential cost of repairs to the Bentley!

One day I hope you can not only afford a Bentley but be able to pay for repairs when you have your complete breakdown!
