The ball which Sir Garfield Sobers smashed for six sixes from a single over is one of a number of pieces of sporting memorabilia to go on sale.
Sobers made cricketing history when he scored 36 from six balls for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan in a county match on 31 August 1968. The unlucky bowler was Malcom Nash.
The short handled Slazenger bat with which Sobers used was auctioned 12 years ago by Christies and set a world record at that time for a cricket bat, fetching £54,257.

By comparison, the ball he battered is expected to attract a price between £20,000-£25,000.
Bonhams' Summer Sporting auction will also include three Lonsdale belts won by boxer Sir Henry Cooper, the archive of Australia's first double Olympic Medal winner Bobby Pearce and the archive of sprinter and long jumper Harold M Abrahams - he of Chariots of Fire fame.
