Dane Bowers "completely rejects" allegations of conspiracy to rape and is "upset" over the claims, according to his spokesperson.
A woman went to police claiming she was attacked in a hotel room in the early hours of Saturday, shortly after the former Another Level star, 32, headlined a DJ set at the Deco Lounge nightclub in Hertford.
Dane, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2010, attended Hatfield police station on Tuesday by prior appointment and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rape, while his friend was quizzed on suspicion of rape.
They were both bailed until 14 May.
Dane's rep has now revealed the star is confident the matter will be dismissed following an investigation by police.
His spokesperson tells the Daily Mail: "Dane completely rejects these unfounded accusations and is extremely confident that the matter will not proceed any further once a full investigation has taken place.
"The whole incident has caused considerable upset to Dane and his family."
