Another week, another celebrity death hoax. This time it was Usher who was the target of those pesky internet pranksters who claimed the R&B star had died in a car crash.

He hadn't.

And to prove the point Usher tweeted some topless shots of himself to prove that not only was he very much alive and kicking but he'd been hitting the gym HARD. Well, nothing like seizing any opportunity for a bit of self promotion, eh?

"I must've died and went to heaven... Alive and cold kickin a**!! URIV (Usher Raymond IV)," he tweeted, before adding, "Never scared, never dead...Just #Lookin 4 myself... Livin' Legend!!! URIV"

His 'death' began trending after The Global Associated News reported he'd been killed in a car crash in the US state of New Mexico.

The report claimed: "Usher died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body."

So, for the final time, Usher is not dead, ok? Got that?
