A 63-year-old man will appear in court today charged with causing the death of a four-year-old girl in a motorway crash.
The man, from the Sunderland area, is due before magistrates in Solihull, West Midlands, charged with causing the death of Priyanka Bhogal by dangerous driving.
Priyanka, from Coventry, suffered fatal injuries when the car she was travelling in was involved in a collision on the M6 in the early hours of Sunday 27 November last year.
A total of five vehicles collided on the southbound carriageway between junctions 4a and 4 at around 12.25am, injuring seven other people.
The motorway was closed for more than six hours while officers from the Central Motorway Police Group, Highways Agency and West Midlands fire and ambulance services dealt with the incident.
