Sabrina
'Sabrina The Teenage Witch' is bound for the big screen - who'll play the magical lady?

Sabrina The Teenage Witch is apparently set for a superhero makeover.

The Archie Comics teen witch - well known to audiences from the sitcom starring Melissa Joan Hart - has also featured in animated TV series in 1969, 1971, and 1999, and is now set to appear on the big screen, Deadline reports.

Who do you think should take the role of Sabrina on the big screen? Let us know below...

It's thought that the film will have an edgier tone than previous incarnations - but Salem, the talking black cat, will still star.

Real Steel producers Don Murphy and Susan Montford are set to produce and Mean Girls' Mark Waters may direct depending on scheduling.

The Melissa Joan Hart sitcom ran for seven seasons, from 1996 to 2003, when it was axed after waning viewing figures.

This is ironic; one of the few good movie remakes was the 1995 take on the 1954 Hollywood classic Sabrina.

"Superhero makeover." Bang ,Biff, POW.

Let’s see PC would call for her to be an Emo. With two gay uncles, who think Sabrina’s street wise black friend Harvey, is dreamy. Finding out she is a witch on her super star mom’s side. After a make over, and a bad spell, she decides to fight the forces of black magic. Black magic being defined as any witch/ warlock who oppose the liberal viewpoint De jour. Salem will of course have loved one of the uncles, but in a closeted way, as he planed to destroy the world, with some capitalist idea.

Hollywood regurgitates on yet another popular television series. The director attempt to prove their superior film making skilllllllllls.
