Andy Murray Shaves Head For Monte Carlo Masters

Murray Does A Beckham - But Will It Win Him A Slam?

Andy Murray has sought a smoother path to his first tennis Grand Slam - by shaving his hair off.

The Scot sported his new hairdo practising at the Monte Carlo Masters in Monaco on Monday as the clay court season gets into full swing.

Bereft of his curly locks, the Australian Open semi-finalist confessed he cut his barnet himself.

World number four Murray said of his new look: "I had to cut my hair and that's what happened.

"It was my fitness trainer's razor, or whatever you call it, so I didn't quite know how short it was going to be."

"I don't really care [how it looks]. That stuff doesn't really bother me that much, to be honest. I'm sure for some it was a bit of a shock, but I wasn't that fazed about it."
