Tonight's TV Pick: Jools, Fame Report, The Undateables

Later Live with Jools Holland – BBC2, 10.30pm

Jools’ guest list never disappoints. But the first episode of his 40th series is looking exceptionally spangly.

Kicking things off is The Modfather Paul Weller, whose 11th solo album Sonik Kicks went straight to number one last month. He is joined by an eclectic a list as ever, including The Maccabees, The Streets’ front man Mike Skinner, Paul Buchanan from the Blue Nile and Brazilian vocalist Ceu.

Of course, if you miss it you can always catch the extended edition on Friday at 11.50pm.

Pamela Stephenson: The Fame Report – More 4, 10pm

Although Pamela Stephenson - psychologist, comedienne, ex-Strictly contestant and wife of Billy Connolly - is perhaps the most qualified of all to examine the pros and cons of fame, her findings are hardly groundbreaking.

She's forgiven, though, for the long line-up of celebrities she interviews about their own experiences. Expect to see her husband (of course), Alan Cumming, John Hurt, Stanley Tucci and Sporty Spice Melanie C.

The Undateables – Channel 4, 9pm

This controversial series is back for its final episode tonight. This time, Channel 4 follows Sam, Hadyn and Kali in their search for love.

The series has been at the centre of a heated debate over its treatment of the subject and its characters. One of our very own bloggers slammed the show not too long ago, while others have praised it for its depiction of people determined to overcome adversity in the pursuit of romance.
