Madonna Admits To Wanting Adele For Super Bowl Performance

Super Bowled Over: Madonna Originally Wanted Adele For Half Time Performance

Pop superstar Madonna originally wanted Adele to perform with her on the Super Bowl stage.

Millions of viewers tuned in on 5 February to watch Madonna's half-time spectacular, which featured guest appearances from LMFAO, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

The Material Girl has now revealed she hoped to have Adele by her side, but the soul star turned down the offer as she was still recuperating after undergoing throat surgery.

Madonna tells Lorraine: "I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something."

However, the singer hasn't given up hope of one day working with the Someone Like You star.

She adds: "I would love to (collaborate). I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her."
