Peaches Geldof has given birth to her baby boy - and has said on Twitter he is the most beautiful thing in the world!
A friend of Peaches and fiance Thomas Cohen first let the cat out of the bag that she had delivered by tweeting a message of congrats to the couple, writing:"Congratulations @tomfromscum and @peaches_g - all my thoughts are with the three of you today. <3"
Peaches then took to the site to reveal 'it's true - I'm a mummy!!!'.
The little boy - who Peaches already revealed was to be named Astala - was due on her late mum's birthday. Peaches said a few months ago that is had been 'very emotional and touching just really beautiful. I was so happy' when doctors told her the tot was due on April 24 and would share a birthday with Paula Yates.
Peaches said she had taken comfort from this, feeling it was 'a little wink from my mum; her way of sending a message to let me know that she's watching over me and my baby.'
Peaches and Thomas got engaged last December, and made their pregnancy announcement in January. Her dad, Sir Bob Geldof was said to be thrilled at the news when she told him on Boxing Day, five months into her pregnancy.
Congrats to them all!
