Meow has an awesome name, there's no doubt about that. Seriously, imagine calling your dog 'Woof' - now there's a good idea.
What's less of a good idea is the notion that letting your pet puss balloon to 17kg before giving him away was a sensible move.
Still, that's what's happened to this poor kitty cat, and it's Santa Fe Animal Shelter's job to get him back in shape and into a good home.
But what makes this all the more extraordinary is that this particular feline is just two years old - and that when you add up the numbers, Meow here is so heavy that the human equivalent would be 272kg, or around 43 stone.
