Cannes Adds Seven Films To Its Line-Up

Cannes Film Festival has added seven new films to its line-up.

Among the new editions include Trashed, a documentary about the world’s waste from British director Candida Brady and starring Jeremy Irons.

Also on offer is The Sapphires, a musical about a 1960s Aboriginal girl group.

And we have Maniac, a Franco-American horror remake starring Elijah Wood as a serial killer with a penchant for scalps.

Un Certain Regard, which opens with Lou Ye’s Mystery, welcomes three new films to the table: Renoir, a biopic about the late painter directed by France’s Gilles Bourdos, Djeca from Bosnian director Aida Begic, and Gimme The Loot, Adam Leon’s film about graffiti artists from the Bronx.

Last but by no means least, Final Cut, a clip-montage György Pálfi, joins Cannes classics.

This year the festival celebrates it's 65th anniversary.

To all the new directors, we wish them bon chance!
