The film focuses on two girls from very different backgrounds - streetwise Shania (Lenora Crichlow) and middle class Lisa (Lily James) - both chasing the same dream. Two fourths of Team GB’s sprint relay team, the pressure is on as their sights are set on the gold medal, and a bitter rivalry ensues.
Starring a promising young British cast, produced by The Iron Lady’s Damian Jones and co-scripted by Kidulthood’s Noel Clarke, the film should have us all rooting for Team GB.
