Despite her own romance woes, Chantelle Houghton is urging Alexandra Burke to ditch boyfriend Jermain Defoe over reports he cheated on her.

The former X Factor champ has tried to keep her relationship with the footy ace under wraps, but was said to have been left heartbroken over reports he slept with 23-year-old model Laura Brown behind her back at a hotel in Newcastle.

Laura told The Sun: "I'm not going to lie - we did have sex. I never planned on sleeping with him, it just happened. You can see girls in Newcastle clubs week after week with different footballers and I think, 'You are so stupid'. Now I'm the stupid one."

Following the model's claims, former Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle - who dated Defoe in 2008 - is calling on the Bad Boys hitmaker to dump the sports ace, branding him a "nasty little rat".

In her New! magazine column, she writes: "I have heard that Jermain Defoe has allegedly slept with another woman behind Alexandra Burke’s back.

"All I can say is that I really wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true, because he cheated on me too! I think that he’s a nasty little rat and should concentrate on scoring on the pitch rather than off it!"

Relationship advice from Chantelle may seem a tad rich - her wedding to fiance Alex Reid was said to have been called off after a series of blazing rows, but the cagefighter took to Twitter to insist the pair is still planning to get hitched.
