Andre Villas-Boas To Be Named Roma Coach In The Summer? Here's His Disastrous Chelsea Tenure (GALLERY)

Reports in Portugal suggest former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas will replace Luis Enrique at Roma this summer.

Sacked by the Blues on 4 March after a 1-0 defeat to West Brom, Villas-Boas was never fully accepted by the infamous player-power dressing room at the Stamford Bridge club.

However he could find work in a new league as conjecture over Luis Enrique's future mounts.

The former Barcelona midfielder only signed a two-year contract with Roma in 2011, in the hope he would infuse the Giallorossi with a similar style of football to that of the Catalonia club.

But a series of poor results have seen expectant fans lose patience, and Enrique claimed earlier this week we was certain of what he wanted to do at the end of the campaign, fuelling speculation he will quit the club.

Director general, and former assistant of Fabio Capello in the England set up, Franco Baldini already spoke to Portuguese Villas-Boas last summer.

However Roma, unlike Roman Abramovich, could not afford to compensate Porto in order to bring the 34-year-old to the Italian capital.

But now the Europa League winner is a free agent, his cost-efficient availability would possibly appeal to i Lupi.
