Hillary Clinton Turns Down Jason Segel's Movie Offer With A Kind Note (PICTURE)

Appearing on US chat show Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, How I met Your Mother and Muppets star Jason Segel mentioned a certain secretary of state - and how she once turned him down.

"Everyone always asks me, like on a red carpet or wherever, 'Who is the mother?'" Segel said, referring to the mystery identity of the eponymous matriarch of his hit show. "I always say Hillary Clinton as a joke."

As you'll see from the video (and image) above, Clinton responded to his gags with a polite and rather wonderful letter.

It's always a joy to see a normally serious politician show a sense of humour every once in a while - not a lot unlike Barack Obama's decision to 'Slow Jam The News' recently. Take that, comedians! You've got nothing on these elected officials, and you know it...
