A 36-year-old who was caught after a major manhunt will appear before magistrates today charged with two separate murders.
Colin Dunford, 81, from Middlesbrough, and Julie Davison, 50, from Whitby, North Yorkshire, were found dead at their homes last week, having suffered head injuries.
James Allen was arrested in Leeds on Sunday and has been charged with two counts of murder, rape, false imprisonment, assault and witness intimidation.

He will appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court this morning.
