Kelly Rowland 'Miffed By X Factor Axe'

Kelly Rowland reportedly feels jilted by TV executives after getting the chop from The X Factor judging panel.

The former Destiny's Child singer announced she was quitting on Monday, claiming she was unable to sign up to the show because of her international work commitments.

However, it seems the star had offered to move her busy schedule around in a bid to make time for the show but decided not to rejoin the panel after getting fed up with TV bosses' deliberations.

According to The Mirror, Kelly told a pal: "It was my decision, I just decided not to sign."

And Kelly, who reportedly requested a pay rise, apparently feels let down as even executive producer Simon Cowell wanted her back on the programme.

The friend said: "She has emails going back months showing discussions so it is stupid of them to say they didn't want her or she was being greedy.

"Simon Cowell has gone on record saying he wanted Kelly back. She loved doing the show so feels a bit let down. She feels stitched up now and it just looks like they are panicking because they don't have a judge."

After Kelly's departure was announced, she said: "I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget."

However, Kelly is said to be freeing up some time in her schedule as she wants feature in a major US TV show and also star in a film.

I liked her on the UK X Factor. She should be on the US version of the show with Britney Spears or whoever replaces Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.

I disagree.

She is a beautiful woman with a good spirit. She related and got along with the other judges and other people. There is nothing wrong with her.

A judge should be someone who actually can sing, how can a judge be famous at spotting " talent " when all they have done is put together some " clean-cut boys " who young girls will fancy and buy their records... it is not about talent it is about manipulation which is morally wrong, it damages the music business, ruins the Christmas Number One Race and puts garbage in the charts..Kelly Rowland got famous not through talent but also by manipulation too, with Destiny's Child she and Beyonce manipulated the silly idea of " sisterhood " and " women power " " independent women "..etc etc... what a joke...The main thing that needs to end is the " sob stories " and the judges tears and " difficulty of voting off conestants, it is getting way too much now.

You are absolutely right. How about going 1 step further, get rid of all of the panel of so called judges, and simply let the general public vote. We wouldn't then have to listen to their stupid comments, it would let them know that the show is not about judges, but about contestants.and perhaps we would get another couple of contestants squeezed in.
After all the general public are the ones who will ultimately be paying the winners their wages!! when they buy their records or go to their show's, that is of course if the TV companies could manage to arrange a public vote without fiddling it.

only people getting stitched up here are the viewers of the programme. The whole show is a total stitch up.

Who wants her back anyway? She missed some parts last year due to a so called illness and with all the crocodile tears. Not to mention she abstained from voting...and she is supposed to be a Judge. Good riddance. The show has lost it now and is past its sell by date anyway.

Thats British TV for you - how ever i cant see why they cant find a good English judge ie Vernon Kaye or even Bradley Walsh, why keep bring in Americans or some one from Australia, its a British show for the British public.why on earth is Pearce doing an interveiw with Jason Don, i dont get it he`s not English so who cares about his life, come on we have a lot of talented actors and actress`s at home here ENGLAND.

Why would she think she's a suitable candidate?
Hasn't the USA enough jobs on offer for her?
05:13 PM on 05/02/2012
Sure the USA has enough jobs on offer, but what's she supposed to do if she can't get any of them? You can't blame her for having jumped at the chance of a job in the UK. It's just hard luck that she wasn't up to it.
