A Bafta-winning actress is to go on trial charged with racially aggravated assault.
Misfits star Lauren Socha, 21, who won a Bafta for her role as Kelly Bailey in the Channel 4 TV series, is alleged to have assaulted a taxi driver last year.
A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Police said the incident is alleged to have happened in Derby city centre in the early hours of October 1.
Socha, of Littleover, Derby, pleaded not guilty at the city's crown court and is due to appear again today for the start of her trial.
She won best supporting actress at the Baftas in 2011 for her Misfits role, the only prize for the comedy drama about superhero teen delinquents which had led the shortlist with four nominations.
