Herbie Hide Party Death: Joshua Burton In Court Accused Of Murdering Tafadzwa Khan

Man In Court Over Boxer Party Death

A man will appear in court today charged with murder after a reveller was killed during a party at the home of former world champion boxer Herbie Hide.

Joshua Burton, 20, is accused of murdering Tafadzwa Khan, known as Taffy, 25, from St Giles Street, Norwich, at a private party being held at Mr Hide's home in Long Lane, Bawburgh, Norwich on March 18.

Police have said they do not believe Mr Hide, a 40-year-old former heavyweight boxer, was at the house at the time of the death.

More than 100 people are thought to have attended the party.

Burton, of Fallowfield Close, Norwich, will appear in custody before Norwich Magistrates' Court later today, Norfolk Police said.

Mr Hide won the WBO (World Boxing Organisation) heavyweight title for the first time in 1994.

He regained the title in 1997 and made two successful defences before losing to Vitali Klitschko in 1999.
