29-year-old, 7' 8" Igor Vovkovinskiy was born in the Ukraine, but at the age of nine he moved over to the US to receive treatment for his condition, pituitary gigantism.

But though a lot of his operations have been and gone, getting shoes that fit him has continued to be a serious problem for the big fella - no great surprise when you realise he has size 21 feet.

So he's had to fly from his home in Rochester, Minnesota to Reebok's headquarters in Canton, Massachusetts to help him live a regular life thanks to a pair of $20,000 (£12,300) sneakers that'll take around six weeks to perfect.

"I haven't been able to go for a joyful walk for six years now," said Vovkovinskiy. "I look forward to just going for a walk with my dog, just walking around the neighbourhood."

"Living the last six years has been a nightmare basically," he added. "Basically, I'm a prisoner in my own house. Where am I going to go with shoes that are painful?"

Fortunately, as you'll see from the gallery below, it looks like Reebok have got him covered...
