It's been a McQueen celebration of late - Kate Middleton donned a stunning Sarah Burton for McQueen gown for the royal wedding on Friday, then the Met Ball paid tribute to the late designer on Monday night.
Not all the invited stars walked the red carpet in a McQueen gown, though. Beyonce arrived looking absolutely stunning in Emilio Pucci.
The superstar went for a mermaid-style silhouette (naturally) in black velvet with a high neck, corsetry detailing. Despite wearing a rival designer the heavy embroidery looked to be a nod to McQueen's own final collection.

The design proved to be excellent for posing in but less useful for climbing stairs with the singer leaning on husband Jay-Z to help her up the steps!
