Police Appeal For Information Over Fatal Stabbing At Manchester House Party

Man Dies After Being Stabbed At House Party

Police are investigating a fatal stabbing following a house party.

Officers were called to a house in Rutland Road in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester, shortly after 3am and discovered a man with serious wounds to his torso.

The 23-year-old was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.

Detective Superintendent Jon Chadwick said: "We are in the very early stages of this investigation, however we believe there was an argument following a party on Devon Road which has led to this man's death.

"I would ask anyone who may have seen or heard two men arguing outside a house on Devon Road or Rutland Road to contact police.

"The information you have may be able to help us determine exactly what happened.

"There is an increased police presence in the area and if any members of the community are concerned about what happened in their neighbourhood I would ask them to speak to an officer and they will be able to address any worries you may have."

Anyone with information should contact police on 01618725050 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
