I'm surprised Malinga ('Malinga the Flinger', I always think of him as) is allowed ro get away with his dubiously legal action. THROWING the ball ('flinging' it), as a player might do to shy at the stumps from a fielding position, entails holding the throwing arm at about, or below, shoulder level. Good BOWLING requires the arm to be vertically above shoulder of the bowling-arm. Malinga's action is closer to the former than the latter, which gives him an unfair power of trajectory. It's closer to a baseball-delivery than a bowler's. 'It's just not CRICKET!'
