Brighton And Bournemouth Players In Court To Face Sexual Assault Charges

Four footballers will appear in court today charged with sexual assault and voyeurism.

Brighton and Hove Albion stars George Barker, 20, Lewis Dunk, 20, and Anton Rodgers, 19, and their former team-mate Steve Cook, 21, who left for AFC Bournemouth, were charged last month.

All four were arrested by Sussex Police in January after a woman complained that she had been sexually assaulted in Brighton on July 17 last year.

Each player has been charged with one count each of sexual assault and one of voyeurism.

Rodgers and Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton; Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton; and Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, are on bail.

They will make their first appearance at Brighton Magistrates' Court today.
