Manchester United have released their new kit for the 2012/13 season... with a gingham design.
After several leaked pictures suggested a chequered look for the Red Devils, the design has been confirmed via the club's official website.
"Forged In Industry, Striving For Glory" is the inside slogan, another cringing addition to the club's commercial mottos.
Reception amongst supporters is decidedly lukewarm, as it has been towards the majority of the club's Nike kits.

The American sportswear have provided kit for the Premier League champions since 2002, after Umbro enjoyed a fruitful 10-year period with the club.
