Nick Clegg has often been mocked for looking sad, but he gave a new spin this morning to suggestions that he looked rather hangdog in coalition.

Confronted on ITV1's Daybreak with a cartoon that compared him and David Cameron to the Britain's Got Talent winners Asleigh and Pudsey, the deputy prime minister saw it was a bone of contention.

"Do you think I look like Pudsey? That’s a new, yes, that’s a new one. I don’t think so" he growled.

With Clegg facing increasingly rough political weather, he can only hope that every dog has its day...

Someone call the RSPCA....they are not in the same league, and should not be sharing the same frame ....Pudsey might catch something !

Well said ynys7....Cleggy trying to steal some of Pudsey's thunder....cheap trick..won't work......bet Pudsey gets more votes at the next General Election than Cleggy !!
