Students from one of the country's leading universities have been chided for repeatedly wearing their "night wear" to the breakfast hall.
Undergraduates at Oxford University were reportedly greeted by a notice demanding the "slovenly practice cease forthwith". Brasenose College, where David Cameron attended, sternly told its students:
"This practice evinces a failure to distinguish between public and private spaces in college.
"There is a clear distinction between night wear (private) and day wear (public).
"I trust that this slovenly practice will cease forthwith."
But a spokesperson for the college said: "There are no plans to introduce any sort of policy of this nature. The college has no further comment."
Perhaps the notice simply follows in the footsteps of the warning displayed at Manchester University. Students there were told to "refrain from masturbating in the shower", while a prankster at St Andrews politely asked those studying in the library to "go home and masturbate if you are bored" as the action is a "violation of university regulations".
Perhaps someone is having the Oxford students on?
