Dannii Minogue Turns Down £1million 'X Factor' Offer

It's a no from Dannii Minogue - she's turned down £1m to rejoin The X Factor.

Still reeling after Simon Cowell revealed their "bonks" in a biography, Dannii has pulled out of talks with ITV bosses after 48 hours of negotiations.

Show insiders claim the Aussie star demanded £5m to get back on the panel, but X Factor execs weren't willing to dig that deep in their pockets.

A source told the Daily Mail: "We made it no secret that we wanted Dannii to come back and we thought we could make a deal.

"She asked for £5m, which was silly money and clearly a negotiating tactic, a silly one at that.

"We... went up to £1m for the series. Everyone thought she would take it, but she didn't. We then walked away - as our feeling was that we wouldn't be held to ransom."

A friend of Dannii's insisted: "A million pounds is a huge deal. There was never any bid made for £5m. If she wanted to do the show, she would have done it."

Kylie's little sister was approached to make her X Factor comeback only a couple of weeks after her boss Simon told of their secret affair in Tom Bower's explosive book, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell.

He was quoted as saying: "I was like a schoolboy. She was foxy. She was a real man's girl. Very feminine. It was genuine love. (But) after Terri Seymour, I wasn't ready for another relationship."

Why does life now seem like Ground-hog Day? Every year we get the same trash thrown at us through our TV screens. My heart sinks every time we are told about the next X-Factor or Strictly Come Dancing marathon we have to endure on prime time TV. So Mr Cowell's empire has high-jacked commercial TV but must the BBC follow with more of the same like a brainless pet poodle? So here's to the next X-Factor singer on the conveyor belt of more manufactured shite for the vacuous masses.

The xfactor needs Dannii back, she was the judge that spent the most time with her team. Tulisa and kelly rowland will never be as good as her.

No, ITV bosses turned her down, not the other way round. They walked away. What's with her stupid friend's statement: "If she wanted to do the show, she would have done it". Of course she wanted to do the show. If she did not want to do the show, she would not have put herself through 48 hours of negotiations. She had decided to take advantage of her present reputation by demanding a higher fee, but alas, she's not worth it

silly girl i bet this is 1000 times more what she would get for singing[one hit wonder]then again she must have collected 1 million from her adverts with M+S.but dont fret folks she will soon accept the offer as what else can /could do to make any money for doing nothing and stay in the limelight.

He didnt kiss and tell, it was a biographer that wrote of his affairs - it was not an autobiography - the fact that Syco took no action sort of proved his flings but hey - she has made plenty off the back of being a sister to Kylie and a lover of Syco - what else was she good at??

Hey jacksdad41 was the biographer in the room when he was having his way with women, or did Syco as you call him brag about it. Not very gentlemany of him whatever. When you look at his smug face you know he is quite happy for it to be told. As for Dannii well maybe Kylie has helped her to get there, but I do tend to like the young lady.When I think of the droos we have around, she comes out not too bad to me.

I love Danni she's a great woman and who can blame her for not wanting to have anything to do with an old fling who it would seem could not step up to the mark (so to speak)
