Katie Price has hit out at recent rumours surrounding her upcoming nuptials to fiance Leandro Penna, saying they have "absolutely no plans" to wed right now.

Katie - who is currently on holiday in Las Vegas with Leandro - has issued a statement on her official website denying claims she is planning to spend £2m on a winter wedding in the grounds of her West Sussex home.

"There has been a lot of speculation in the magazines about Leo's and my wedding plans. The simple truth is that Leo and I have not set a date and we have made absolutely no plans," she wrote.

"Leo and I are enjoying being together and being engaged. We are not rushing into a wedding and have made no plans," she added.

The statement was in reference to reports in Now magazine, where a source had said: "She's been telling people she wants to have the ceremony at her West Sussex home over Christmas with a huge marquee outside. She's only in the very early stages of talking about it but at the moment she's getting really excited about the festive idea.

"She's set her sights on ordering a Christmas tree larger than the one in Trafalgar Square. Her horses will be white with pink antlers, while her boys Harvey and Junior will be dressed as elves. And her daughter Princess will be dressed as a snow angel."

Her statement also puts to bed rumours her trip to Las Vegas with Leo would see her tie the knot, as she did with ex-husband Alex Reid.

Earlier this week, Katie's best friend Michelle Heaton told HuffPost Celeb the glamour model had not started planning her wedding, admitting she had yet to be asked to be bridesmaid.

"She hasn't asked me to be bridesmaid yet, but I was at her last two weddings so we'll see if she asks," she told us. "I'd love to but we'll see," she said.

"We haven't discussed the wedding yet. I've just been in Bristol with her filming Deal Or No Deal, so we're just going to see from there."
