Tonight's TV Pick: 56 Up, Gok Cooks Chinese

TV Pick: Gok Gets Handy With A Wok

Gok Cooks Chinese - Channel 4, 8.30pm

Gok Wan is no one-trick pony. As well as being able to teach women How To Look Good Naked, it turns out he's also very good with a wok (Gok's Wok was the provisional name, until Gok decided he wanted to be taken more seriously).

In this new series the fashionista shows off what's he's learned from his professional chef father Poppa Wan and cooks up healthy Chinese cuisine.

He begins with a simple egg fried rice, and goes on to make wok-fried green beans and shrimps, beef and black bean sauce, and spicy king prawns with cashew nuts.

It's making my mouth water just writing about it.

56 Up - ITV1, 9pm

56 Up continues to catch up with a group of subjects, admittedly biased in favour of men (a lacking recognised by the makers), whose lives have been chronicled since the age of seven.

Tonight's second episode of this unique social document sees its subjects continue to reveal whether they have achieved their ambitions at the age of 56 and reflect on their appearances in previous instalments of the landmark series.
