Asbo To CRIMBO: Twitter Reaction To Home Office Switch-Up

Asbo To CRIMBO: Twitter Reacts To Name Change

The Home Office is rebranding the Asbo, a notorious restrictive behavioural order that almost became a running joke for its ineffectiveness.

It will now be known as a Criminal Behavioural Order, rather than Anti-Social, which the Home Office believes will "put the focus on the impact of victims and neighbourhoods and ensure people can hold the police and local agencies to account."

Home Secretary Theresa May told ITV's Daybreak that the new order was a sign of the government "putting the needs of victims first."

The Asbo was brought in by the Labour part under the leadership of Tony Blair.

Inevitably, social networking site Twitter was on hand to rustle up some fantastic reaction to the announcement, making fun of the rebrand.
