Cheryl Cole Dazzles At Premiere Of 'What To Expect When You're Expecting'

Cheryl And Cameron Steal The Show

Cheryl Cole looked like the cream of the crop at the premiere of her first Hollywood movie.

The Girls Aloud singer, dressed in an off-white Victoria Beckham gown, joined actress Cameron Diaz at London's BFI IMAX cinema for the screening of pregnancy comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting.

Cole - who was dramatically axed from Simon Cowell's US version of The X Factor - makes her big screen debut in the film, playing a TV talent show judge.

And Diaz - who also opted for cream, in a Stella McCartney jumpsuit - said Cole's cameo could be the first of many movie roles for the singer.

"She's talented, and she's so lovely and I think of course this is the beginning of many (films) for her. I'm sure she can do whatever she wants to," Diaz said.

"She really did us a huge favour by coming in and letting us sequester her for a couple of days and take her out to an old abandoned warehouse in Atlanta and make her act for us."

Cole signed autographs and posed for pictures with the hundreds of fans in attendance before the film began. She was joined on the red carpet by several of the movie's other stars, including Glee actor Matthew Morrison, Twilight's Anna Kendrick, and Gossip Girl heartthrob Chace Crawford.

Earlier in the day Morrison - who plays Diaz's dancer boyfriend in the film - said Cole should not have been sacked from The X Factor.

"Going on how she was a judge on our show, I thought she was great. They had her ad lib a lot and she just came up with all these great lines. So I think they got it wrong," he said.

Meanwhile Crawford, 26, who plays a young father-to-be in the film, joked that its depiction of the highs and lows of pregnancy had put him off parenthood.

"It's like birth control," he quipped.

"I can see myself in the distant future becoming a dad - after getting a few hundred years of maturity under my belt. We'll see."

What To Expect When You're Expecting is released in cinemas on 25 May
