Luke Fitzpatrick Killing: Fourth Person Arrested After Champions League Final Stabbing

Fourth Person Arrested In Pub Stabbing Case

Police have arrested a fourth person in the investigation into the brutal killing of a man outside a north London pub following Saturday's Champions League final.

Luke Fitzgerald, a 25-year-old roofer, was stabbed near the Ox and Gate Pub in Dollis Hill, where he had just watched Chelsea's Champions' League final victory over Bayern Munich.

His father, who was also stabbed when he tried to intervene and save his son, remains in serious condition in hospital.

According to the Brent and Kilburn Times, detectives arrested a 23-year-old man in Wembley on Monday night.

Police also have a 31-year-old man in custody as well as two teenagers.

It is believed that Mr Fitzgerald was attacked by a mob after an argument in the pub.

DCI Tim Duffield, who is heading the murder hunt, said: “We urgently need to hear from anyone who was in or near the Ox and Gate pub around 11.30pm that evening.

“The pub was still very busy at that time, and we are confident that several people will have seen elements of what happened - we urge them to come forward and contact the incident room.”

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8358 0400 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
