Ricky Gervais Shows Off Slimmer Body At Chelsea Flower Show

Since Ricky Gervais went off to LaLa land, he's become a shadow of his former self - quite literally.

The star looked to be disappearing before our very eyes as he attended a press day at Chelsea Flower Show yesterday with his producer wife Jane Fallon.

Ricky has been putting in the hard yards in the gym after implementing a strict healthy living regime in a bid to shed the pounds.

After dropping a stone-and-a-half last year, The Office star told of how he was prompted to lose weight after fearing he would die.

He told The People last September: "I've never had a problem with weight. I was thin until I was about 29. Then I hit 30 and there was a decade of eating and drinking.

"I thought, 'Oh my God, I'm going to die' so I decided to do something about it. Losing the weight wasn't a problem. I just decided I'd work out and slim down because I didn't want to die."

I never thought he was funny untill I watched him take control of the Golden Globes,
I couldn't stop laughing the way he took the P..S out of everyone and anyone,
I finally get him after all those yrs waisted on Britains got talent.

That is pretty good. I wish I had a few personal trainers so I could get in super good shape. Like batman shape you know. Of course, I wouldn't be able to work, but I would probably have a lot of money so whats the problem.

HuffPo fails to do basic fact-checking AGAIN.
I think Gervais would be interested to know exactly when he got married to girlfriend Jane?? Do you have the pictures? Do you remember the headlines? No, because they may have been together 30 years but are not married. Ricky has categorically stated on many many occasions that he is an atheist and therefore, does not believe in marriage. He calls it 'irrelevant'... so try again.

You are right about him not being married.

Though I dont understand why he thinks being an atheist makes marriage irrelevant.....since you dont have to have to be religious in order to get married. People can get married in a registry office without any mention of god. Marriage pre-dates the bible.

Yea I'm inclined to agree.. but then I'm not an atheist, more of an agnostic and I am spiritual so I guess I would differ in opinion naturally anyway. Still, married or not, he's been with the same woman basically since University which is rare in celebrity worlds and it's so refreshing to see.

No I'm not...........an Idiot Abroad was funny and in fact presented in a way that showed the world as it really is and without all the romantic travel hype. Karl Pilkington gave his honest opinion and was amusing while he did it. However, Ricky Gervais is not funny in the slightest.

He hasn't become a shadow literally, has he? He's lost weight. If he'd become a shadow, he'd be a grey. two-dimensial flat thing cast from an object being between one surface and the sun. How can members of the public and especially children be expected to have any respect for the English language when journalists are so sloppy.

I know I'm not posting here abour the main subject of the column but the mangling of a journalist's main tool seemed more important than the column itself. I'm sure losing weight has been important to Ricky Gervais but it is of no business to anyone else.
