Keith Ogunsola has been convicted of raping a schoolgirl

A paedophile teacher who repeatedly raped a pupil under the pretence of giving her "extra science tuition" has been told he will be jailed for "a very long time".

Married father-of-three Keith Ogunsola groomed his 14-year-old victim and lured her to hotels around the country. The 47-year-old science teacher from Banstead in Surrey, started sexually abusing the girl in 2001, when he took her virginity by raping her at a Croydon hotel, Your Local Guardian reported.

Croydon Crown Court heard Ogunsola subjected the girl to three years of terror, telling her to wear skirts with no underwear so it was easier to have sex with her.

Prosecutor Hanna Llewellyn-Waters told how the girl was intimidated into thinking no-one would believe her story against a teacher. When the pupil told Nigerian-born Ogunsola she wanted a boyfriend he "ripped off her clothes and raped her again".

But it is not the first time Ogunsola has been in court for sexually harrassing a student. In 2008, he grabbed a 14-year-old pupil and stuck his tongue in her mouth while they were in his school office.

The girl described her ordeal, saying: "He put his arms around my waist and said 'do you want a kiss?'

"He pulled me close and put his tongue in my mouth. He was holding my wrists."

He also asked girls in his chemistry class whether they had performed oral sex.

The court heard he had already been warned by the school's headteacher about his conduct with female students before the assaults took place. Ogunsola was cleared of two sexual assaults at that school in 2000 and another sexual assault at a different school in 2006.

Despite this, he was spared jail because of his "weak heart".

Ogunsola was told by the presiding judge: "You are going to prison for a very long time."

Sounds like some other administrators need to be jailed for a very long time as well. They knew he was abusing kids and they let it continue! Unacceptable.

When are our children going to learn to trust their parents and tell them when these perverts come calling? He should be subjected to serious retribution for betraying the trust parents and children had for him. I say CASTRATE him, thern subject him to hours of sensous video tapes. from a Sad parent and teacher.

While we've been moaning about the profiling of muslims of the child sex ring abuse cases, it's fair to say anyone who read this story , including me, was shocked this guy wasn't white. Just saying it works both ways and it not about picking on minorities....at least not all the time!

Just HOW did this guy get a job TEACHING Children?
And once he got it, just HOW did he keep it?
What about the child protection procedures that are meant to exist in schools?
WHY didn't his head teacher sack him when the earlier allegations occured?
HAS the Head Teacher been dismissed NOW, or are they also involved in illicit sex with students?
If the head teacher hasn't been sacked WHY NOT, they were at serious fault.
Can we send this guy back to his native country OR will that be an abuse of his Human Right to abuse kids?

Not all immigrants are like that... I hope you realise that some of us cry out for fairness and are quite outraged at what the British government allow immigrants to get away with. I wish the British Government will grow a pair and some common sense to boot! I understand your comment and agree with you.

We are bombarded with images of celebrities with little clothes on; with photographers trying their hardest to get pictures of private areas of ladies to publish in newspapers and online, so that people can have a look.

Immorality is part and parcel of everyday life.

That has absolutley nothing to do with a teacher repeatidly raping a young girl, did you even read this article? It also has nothing to do with race either (to other comments) I personally wouldnt let anyone who had been accused not once, but several times of sexual assult in my school as i would not want to put my children and the children of others at any such risk.

Why is it whenever a person does something wrong, does race actually have to be a part of the discussion? It's ridiculous. He has a problem, and that manifested itself in disgraceful behaviour and the potential damaging of someone's life - that is the problem, and the issue. The fact that one has to mention race at all in discussing this is the biggest indication that it's on your mind as you read the story. I saw him for what he was - someone with an evil problem who used it in an evil way. End of !

Culture plays an important part in how people treat others. If a person's culture demeans and dehumanizes women, don't be surprised at the outcome. Therefore race CAN play an important part.

As a pupil of this sick man I can say that this happened at different schools with several students 3 speaking up at his past hearing where he was convicted of one and not the other two , go figure. But he was not teaching after this came about I only saw him again when I was in court to give evidence .This has happend over many years with students unable to come forward out of fear so that is why he was allowed and did keep on teaching because no1 came forward until 2008 and that's when they contacted all the schools he worked at. It is not about him being black or not ' British ' it was about his mentality as a human being , so let's not bring race into it and make this about colour of people's skins when it's actually about 13 and 14 year Los being abused by a person of trust that's what we need to focus on, help for kids in situations like this and more safeguarding measures of behaviour towards students so that kids know whats wrong and right and feel safe with coming forward As in 2001 If this girl had felt she could of come forward about it he wouldnt of been teaching and the stuff that happend after as mentioned above wouldn't of happend.
The only person to blame is the justice system fr not putting him away a long time ago and also the man himself

This guy needs to be shot but then again, some of the ignorance and racism here !!?? Get him back to Nigeria ? the cheek of it ! talk about eating your cake and having it ! Why don't you send all the paedophiles to Nigeria then then bring all good nigerians here, makes sense to me, never mind the "supreme" white paedos ! The fact some people who type sentences here don't have a clue every memeber of the "COMMON WEALTH" has a stolen "RIGHT" to achieve their ambition anywhere in the common wealth is beyond me !!??? yep you got it...thats the next frontier on the rights issue

Surely safeguarding procedures were in place? Why did the school allow him to continue teaching when he was clearly putting the sexual safety of students at risk by his wholly inappropriate behaviour?
21:42 on 23/05/2012
Totally agree changingman, but I suspect he lied at his interview and got away with it.

this is the 1st thing I thought when reading this artical, I thought you had to have checks done before working with children which include police checks, so I feel the school is in some way part resposible for letting these children down, An investigation should be done to see how this could have happened when he clearly has an history
