Chelsea Set To Release Champions League Final Starters Salomon Kalou And Jose Bosingwa

Chelsea Set To Release Bosingwa And Kalou

Chelsea look certain to release Jose Bosingwa and Salomon Kalou in the summer, when both players' contracts run out.

The duo started the Blues' Champions League triumph over Bayern Munich, but are not expected to be listed on the club's retained list on Thursday.

Kalou, 26, was signed by Jose Mourinho in 2006 at a cost of £8m from Feyenoord and has scored 60 goals in 254 appearances.

Bosingwa was bought two years later by Luiz Felipe Scolari for £16.2m from FC Porto, and scored six goals from 275 games, winning three FA Cups, one Premier League title and the European Cup.

The pair will follow Didier Drogba out of Stamford Bridge, after he revealed on Tuesday he had played his last game for Chelsea.
