England Train At Manchester City's Etihad Stadium Ahead Of European Championship

Posted: Updated:

England's European Championship campaign starts in just 18 days, and Roy Hodgson's squad have now begun preparing for the tournament.

Hodgson presided over his first training session at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, minus Wayne Rooney, who will link up with the squad on 29 May after he was granted extra time to recuperate from a niggling injury.

Rooney's Manchester United team-mate Danny Welbeck sat out of training, while Glen Johnson limped out as a precaution due to an infected toe.
