This group of fishermen looked set to land the prize of their lives as they prepared to haul in a giant marlin.
But they were forced to return from their Cairns coast fishing trip empty-handed, after a gang of tiger sharks swooped in and stole their catch.
As the waters churned up following hours of battling to bring it on board, the giant fish was torn to shreds before their very eyes.

The video, posted on Live Leak, features one of the men suggesting the marlin would have weighed around 300kg had it still been intact.
A bloodied head was all that remained after the predators had had their way, but as one fisherman conceded, at least there was enough left: "To hang on the wall."
