Continuing our greatest Olympic moments ahead of London 2012, today's selection is bereft of sport, but arguably a more iconic visual.

Hosting the Olympics in 1992 was imperative to Barcelona, as the city was rehabilitated from its putrid urbanism.

Billions were spent on infrastructure which improved the quality of life and attraction of the city, as it became modernised into the hot tourist attraction it is today.

And it was at the opening ceremony when Antonio Rebollo was tasked with firing the lit arrow to commence the Games. And with billions watching worldwide, he expertly found his target.
