Nursery Worker Charged With Voyeurism And Possessing Indecent Images Of Children

A nursery worker has been charged with voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children.

James Hoffman, 34, who works at a day nursery in south London, appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with one count of voyeurism, three counts of possession of indecent images of children and one count of making an indecent image.

Hoffman, of Purley, was remanded in custody to appear via video link at Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court on 1June, the Metropolitan Police said.

One parent, whose three-year-old daughter goes to the nursery, said Hoffman had worked for Jancett Day Nurseries, which owns a number of nurseries in south London, for 15 years.

She said he moved to his current post about six months ago after working at a nearby nursery owned by the same firm.

The parent, who did not want to be named, said the private nursery was closed on Friday when Hoffman was arrested after a device was discovered in the staff toilets, but re-opened yesterday.

"All the parents are so worried, we don't know what is going on," she said.
