EastEnders' Actress Tells Of Terror After Tree Falls On Car

Actress Diane Parish has experienced enough drama to last her a lifetime as her Eastenders alter-ego Denise Fox, but the star was given an almighty scare recently when a tree fell on her car.

In the soap, Denise has been kidnapped, widowed and dated a murderer - but all of that paled into insignificance when Diane was caught up in a real-life drama in London.

She was due to collect her kids from school but was left shaken when a sycamore tree on her street collapsed, "ruining" her black Audi and damaging the side of her home in Enfield.

Diane is fuming as she claims locals had previously lodged several complaints about the state of trees in her street - but nothing had been done.

She tells The Sun, "I'm so angry - it could have killed my family. It ruined my car but thankfully everyone's fine."

Enfield Council officials have apologised to Diane, but say they were not made aware of the rotting tree.

A spokesperson says, "Had we had a complaint about safety we'd have surveyed the tree the same day. We've now removed the damaged tree and are inspecting others in the street to confirm they are safe."
