'The Voice': Snoop Dogg Slams The Show For Just Focusing On Voices

Snoop Dogg Disses 'The Voice'

Rapper Snoop Dogg has slammed hit TV singing contest The Voice, insisting producers will fail to discover true pop stars among the contestants.

Judges on the US show, which also launched in the UK earlier this year, choose wannabes for their vocal ability rather than their image and background.

But the Gin + Juice hitmaker is adamant the format is flawed because true stars rely on more than their singing talents to succeed.

He says: "The Voice (producers) don't understand that you need more than a voice to be an artist. You could have the best voice ever but be as boring as hell.

"I don't see it producing a One Direction or Susan Boyle."
